🎮 My Gaming Routine: From Daily Fixes to the Brooks Legacy
📱 Daily Doses: The 5-10 Minute Fixes
These are the games I get on and play every day, for the most part. Even if it's just for five to ten minutes. They're my fun, quick breaks!
Dice Dreams & Monopoly Go: I'm sure many of you have heard of these due to the constant ads! I really enjoy these silly dice-rolling games. Monopoly Go holds a little extra nostalgia for me—I mean, it's Monopoly!
Crostic: I enjoy this word puzzle game a lot. You get a handful of clues that unlocks an overall phrase that contains detailed facts about various topics. There are four puzzles to do every day, and I learn something new every day because of it!
Daily Pastimes: This one is more passive. I got it with Google Play Pass, so I'm seen as a premium member.. Mostly I just play the games in the daily games section since they unlock little event based icons, but now and then I will get on and play the normal games just for fun.
Sudoku: This is new to me! I'm trying to learn Sudoku and will play puzzles until I feel like I've "hit a wall," but mostly I stick to the daily puzzle. I'm getting a little better at it every day!
Gossip Harbor: This is a very new game for me. It's not a really bad game. I was tired of seeing the constant ads, but while it's not exactly like the ad, it's not really annoying either. We shall see if it becomes a long-term commitment!
💻 The Main Obsessions: Deep Dive Games
These are the titles where I truly sink my time and attention.
The Sims 4 (The Brooks Legacy)
The break is officially over! I am now halfway through the second season of my save.
Founder: Avery Brooks started as a Scientist to gather resources, but she has now maxed out that career and transitioned to an Artist with a lot of talent. She's worked her way up to Global Superstar.
Spouse: Ella Brooks is still a Scientist. She has been practicing programming at home and has made mobile apps and video games on her own time. She is also a Global Superstar.
Lyra's Arrival: Our focus Sim, Lyra, will be born shortly after the third season starts. My main goal will be building Lyra up and just having fun with her. I have no exact plans for her except to excel at all the projects she touches. I really plan on taking my time growing her up. I have no plans on making her a significant other or anything like that. I'll just go with the flow with her.
Cafeland
I am currently Level 97, and my chef rank is Popular Chef at 3 of 5 stars. My café is expanded to a satisfying 17x16 size.
This game will be the easiest to update because I genuinely enjoy it. I love doing the quests and leading my club—we keep crushing it in tournaments even though only half of us participate!
I recently closed my café for a bit to build up a huge inventory, and I created a detailed document to track all my unlocked menu items, cook times, and Mastery status. The dopamine hit from mastering things, achieving goals, and getting rewards is a reason I love this game so much, but it's the nostalgia of Cafe Life that first drew me back in. I also appreciate the two little side games (merge and match-three) that help with rewards.
Pokémon Minecraft
This is the one that's currently on hiatus. A good friend of mine made a private server. I really should get back in and play it. I just hope it's still up and running. I feel bad that I set it aside. I've just had a lot going on and Minecraft is a very attention-heavy game. I'd never played Minecraft before joining this server. After having been used to the private server, when I tried to play the normal version, I was a bit overwhelmed by the differences.
That's my full gaming list! For those who wonder how I can play these games so intensely and still crush my reading goals, the answer is simple: I listen to and love audiobooks!
Now it's your turn! I'd love to know what games you enjoy playing in your free time!
Note: I do plan to add graphics to blogs going forward. These two I have up now were informative blogs and I wanted to keep them as is.
